Marlee Ehrlich started swimming later than most. Once she started she knew she had finally found her thing. Marlee swam for both the Jersey Wahoos and Cherry Hill High School East, earning 4 varsity letters during her time in high school. Ehrlich was named Team Captain her senior year and helped lead the team to numerous wins and conference appearances over her years on the team, including the team’s first Group IV Section championship (2012).
During her tenure at Cherry Hill East, Ehrlich was named a 3-time All American and a 3-time USA Swimming Scholastic All American. In her junior year, Ehrlich won 2 New Jersey State Titles in the 200 and 500 freestyles (2011) also setting both School Records in those races. She was the first CHHE athlete to be named Eastside’s Athlete Of the Year twice (2011, 2012) In 2011, she was named SJISA’s High School Swimmer of the Year as well as the Courier Post’s Swimmer of the Year.
After graduating. Ehrlich continued her swimming as a student athlete for Harvard, helping her team earn 2 Ivy League Championships (2014, 2016). She was named Team Captain her senior year and ended her career with multiple podium appearances at the 2016 Ivy Championships along with the overall Conference Trophy for Harvard. Ehrlich received the Nancy Sato Leadership Award in 2016.
In 2009 and 2013 Ehrlich was a member of Team USA for the World Maccabiah Games in Israel. In 2013, among others, she earned a Gold Medal in the 800 freestyle and a gold medal in the 800 Freestyle Relay while also helping set a meet record.
After graduation, Marlee moved to Los Angeles where she currently lives and works in the Music Industry. Marlee would like to thank and dedicate this Honor to her parents. Throughout her years of swimming they always supported her and drove her to many early morning practices.
